EU-27 steel exports up 5.3 percent in January-April

According to the European steel association EUROFER, in April this year flat steel exports of the European Union (EU-27) totaled 1.168 million mt, while EU-27 long steel exports amounted to 837,000 mt. Accordingly, overall EU-27 steel exports in April totaled 2.005 million mt, down 15.61 percent month on month and increasing by 0.9 percent year on year.

In addition, in the first four months of the current year overall EU-27 steel exports reached 8.409 million, up 5.3 percent year on year.
