EU-27 new industrial orders up 2.4 percent in June over May

According to a statement released on August 24 by Eurostat, the Statistical Office of the European Communities, the new industrial orders index in the European Union member states (EU-27) increased by 2.4 percent month on month in June, after a revised month-on-month increase of four percent recorded in May. The year-on-year increase in June was recorded at 22.5 percent in the region.
 
On the other hand, in June new industrial orders in the EU-27, excluding ships, railway and aerospace equipment for which changes tend to be more volatile, rose by 1.8 percent month on month and were up 23.7 percent year on year.
