EU-27 GDP rises 0.3 percent in Q3 over Q2

According to the second estimates released by Eurostat, the statistical office of the European Union, during the third quarter of the current year gross domestic product (GDP) increased by 0.2 percent in the euro area and by 0.3 percent in the EU-27 compared to the previous quarter. In the second quarter of 2011, growth rates were 0.2 percent quarter on quarter in both zones. Compared with the same quarter of 2010, in the third quarter this year seasonally adjusted GDP increased by 1.4 percent in both the euro area and in the EU-27.
