EU-27 steel exports up 2.5 percent in Jan-Nov 2011

According to the European steel association EUROFER, in November last year flat steel exports from the European Union (EU-27) reached 1.407 million mt, while EU-27 long steel exports amounted to 1.113 million mt. Accordingly, overall EU-27 steel exports in November totaled 2.54 million mt, up 8.28 percent month on month and increasing by 21.93 percent year on year.

In addition, in the first 11 months of the current year total EU-27 steel exports amounted to 23.05 million mt, increasing by 2.5 percent compared to the same period of 2010.
