The European Commission is considering imposing antidumping (AD) duty on imports of grain-oriented electrical steel from Russia, Japan, China, the US and South Korea, according to media reports.

The antidumping duty rates are expected to range from 21.6 percent to 35.9 percent for the abovementioned countries.

The Commission will present its proposal this week, with preliminary duty expected to be imposed by May 14. The final results of the duty investigation are scheduled for November.
