EU scrap price indexes decrease in February

According to indexes issued by the European Steel Association (EUROFER), in February this year, local scrap prices in the European Union (EU) decreased by seven percent compared to the previous month, following the 2-3 percent month-on-month increase in January.

Meanwhile, in February, strong decreases were recorded on year-on-year basis, as shown in the following table:
