In November this year, new car registrations totaled 1,085,259 units in the European Union (EU), with an increase of 13.7 percent year on year, with all major passenger car markets rising strongly during the month, according to the latest figures issued by the European Automobile Manufacturers' Association (ACEA).
In November, Spain (+25.4%), Italy (+23.5%), France (+11.3%) and Germany (+8.9%) were the major EU markets which recorded increases in new car registrations on year-on-year basis.
Meanwhile, in the January-November period new passenger car registrations in the EU increased to 12,603,855 units, up 8.7 percent year on year. In this period, Spain saw an increase of 20.9 percent and Italy saw a rise of 15.5 percent, while new passenger car registrations in the UK rose by 6.2 percent, with registrations in France rising by 6.2 percent and with registrations in Germany up 5.4 percent, all year-on-year basis.
