The European Commission has announced that it has launched an antidumping (AD) duty investigation regarding grain-oriented electrical steel imports from China, Japan, South Korea, Russia and the US, following the complaint filed by the European Steel Association (EUROFER).

The investigation will determine whether the product under investigation originating in the countries concerned is being dumped and whether the dumped imports have caused injury to the EU industry.

The products under the antidumping duty investigation currently fall within CN codes 7225 11 00 and 7226 11 00.
