EU finished steel exports up 10.3% in Mar over Feb

In March this year, the flat steel exports of the European Union (EU) totaled 1.256 million mt, while EU long steel exports amounted to 1.024 million mt. Accordingly, overall EU finished steel exports in March totaled 2.28 million mt, up 10.3 percent month on month and down four percent compared to the same month in 2012.

In the first quarter of the current year, EU finished steel exports rose by 1.18 percent year on year to 6.479 million mt.
