Novosibirsk Metallurgical Works named after Kuzmin (NMZK), a subsidiary of the Russian steel producer ESTAR Holding (ESTAR), has announced that it has succeeded in mastering the production of new 127 mm diameter electro-welded pipes.

The trial batch, manufactured at NMZK's mill 20-114 No. 1, corresponds fully to GOST 10705 standard. The production facilities will allow NMZK to produce more than 2,000 mt of 127 mm diameter pipes per month.

The expansion of the pipe production range is in line with NMZK's concept of technical re-equipment of its pipe production. In 2007-2008 NMZK reconstructed its electric-weld pipe mill 20-114 No. 1, which enabled the plant to produce pipes with diameters of up to 159 mm.
