Novosibirsk Metallurgical Works named after Kuzmin (NMZK), a subsidiary of the Russian steel producer ESTAR Holding (ESTAR), has mastered the production of new rectangular and square pipes of GOST 13663 standard, previously produced at ESTAR's subsidiary Steel Profile.

At the end of 2008, NMZK mastered the production of two specifications of electric welded shaped pipes, i.e., 40 x 25 mm and 20 x 20 mm. By the end of the first quarter of 2009, the company plans to master the production of three more specifications of shaped pipes - 25 x 25 mm, 30 x 30 mm, and 40x20 mm.

The new pipes will be produced at NMZK's new Italian electric-welded pipe mill 10-50, commissioned in August 2008, which is currently manufacturing welded water and gas pipes of 15-32 mm in diameter and of GOST 3262 standard.
