Essar Steel plans to build a steel plant in Orissa

According to recent news in the market, Indian steel producer Essar Steel is planning to establish a steel plant in Orissa. In line with its plan, Essar Steel is reported to be in negotiations with Orissa government. The capacity of the new plant will be 4.25 million tons per annum, according to unconfirmed rumors in the market and the project is expected to cost over Rupees 70 billion ($1.5 billion).
