Essar gets license for Bailadila iron ore deposit

One of India's largest steel producers, Essar Steel, has confirmed to SteelOrbis that it has received a prospecting license for iron ore in Chattisgarh's Bailadila area, which hold some of the world's finest quality iron ore. Essar Steel said it will use the iron ore developed from the deposit for its proposed steel plant which will be set up in two phases in the same state.
