Esfahan Steel’s long steel output rises by eight percent

Iranian steelmaker Esfahan Steel's billet and bloom output in the first two months of the current Iranian year (started March 21) amounted to 424,000 mt, while its long steel product (mainly I-beam, rebar and wire rod) output reached 487,000 mt, increasing respectively by six percent and eight percent year on year, according to the Iranian Mines and Mining Industries Development and Renovation Organization (IMIDRO).
 
Esfahan Steel significantly increased its production capacity in early 2010 by commissioning its third blast furnace with an annual production capacity of 1.4 million mt.
