Earnings skyrocket for Friedman Industries on higher sales

Friedman Industries, Incorporated, a Houston, Texas-based pipe manufacturer, coil processor, and steel and pipe distribution company, announced Monday that net earnings totaled $3,202,575 for the quarter ended March 31, 2011 (Q4) on net sales of $41,998,111. In Q4 of last year, Friedman recorded earnings of $1,062,258 on net sales of $23,328,900.

For the full year ended March 31, Friedman saw net earnings soar to $8,155,637 on net sales of $131,709,492. In the previous year, net earnings were $652,024 on sales of $65,132,170.
