Ductile pipe production increases in China’s Xinjiang region

Xinjiang Uyghur Autonomous Region-based Chinese steelmaker Jinte Steel Co. has announced that it has carried out a hot run test on phase two of its 200,000 mt capacity ductile pipe project, indicating that the commissioning of the overall project has been completed. The diameter of the products is in a range of 900-1,600 mm.
 
In addition, last year Shandong-based Chinese pipe producer Jinhui Group commissioned phase one of its ductile pipe project in the county of Shanshan in the Xinjiang region. Phase one has an annual output capacity of 200,000 mt of products in a diameter range of 80-1,200 mm. Meanwhile, phase two of the same project, with an annual output capacity of 300,000 mt in a diameter range of 1,400-2,600 mm, is expected to be commissioned in the current year.
