Dnipropetrovsk Iron and Steel Works sees increased outputs in Jan-May

In the January-May period of the current year, Ukrainian steelmaker Dnipropetrovsk Iron and Steel Works (Petrovsky), a subsidiary of Russian mining and steel producing company Evraz Group, saw its finished steel production increase by five percent year on year to 377,000 mt. In the given period, the company's crude steel output increased by 0.2 percent year on year to 421,000 mt, while its pig iron production went up by 5.3 percent to 417,000 mt.

In May this year, Petrovsky produced 78,000 mt of rolled steel, 83,000 mt of crude steel and 86,000 mt of pig iron.

In June this year, the company plans to produce 93,000 mt of crude steel and 91,000 mt of pig iron.
