Dneprospetsstal’s crude steel output down 2.1% in May from April

In May this year, Ukrainian metallurgical company Dneprospetsstal (DSS) saw a 2.1 percent month-on-month decrease in its crude steel production to 21,831 mt. The company's output of finished steel in the same month increased by 0.7 percent month on month to 15,268 mt.

In the January-May period this year, the company produced 114,516 mt of crude steel, down 8.9 percent, and 72,319 mt of finished steel, down 8.6 percent, both year on year.

Dneprospetsstal's activities cover the design, manufacture and distribution of stainless, tool, high-speed, bearing and alloy structural steel products. Its products are used in the manufacture of machinery parts, tools for metal and alloy machining, seamless pipes and bearings.
