The construction of the LF No.1 started in 2007 and has cost DMKD about UAH 140 million ($27.8 million) in investment.

The commencement of hot trials at the LF No.1 is planned for May-June 2008.

The main supplier of equipment for DMKD's new LF was Austria-based Siemens-VAI.
