According to a report released by
Poland's
Automotive Market Research Institute (SAMAR), in June this year 28,224 new cars were sold in the Polish car market, representing a rise of 10.4 percent as compared to the previous month and up 5.09 percent year on year.
In the first half of this year, new car sales in
Poland reached 158,300 units, decreasing by 6.27 percent year on year. However, SAMAR data show that the cumulative year-on-year decline slowed down in June, given the drop rate was registered as 8.4 percent in the January-May period.
Auto market analysts say that the outlook for
Poland's new car market in general remains negative, as uncertainty prevails about the country's economic performance in the short term and the local currency has been losing in value against the euro.
