Deacero S.A. de C.V. has appealed the circumvention determination by the US Department of Commerce (DOC) that small diameter carbon and certain alloy steel wire rod produced and exported by Deacero is included within the scope of the antidumping order on wire rod from Mexico. The appeal was filed with the US Court of International Trade (CIT) earlier this week.

It normally takes about one year to complete an appeal to the CIT. In the meantime, the DOC's determination will remain in force.
