Dannemora iron ore mine to reopen in 2009
The Swedish Dannemora Mineral AB has informed SteelOrbis that its iron ore mine at Dannemora will recommence production in 2009. Sale of lump and fine ore will commence late in 2007 for delivery in 2009. The iron ore mine with an expected annual production capacity of around 1.5 million metric tons of iron ore with Fe 50-55 percent content was closed in 1992.
