Danieli to supply casting and rolling mill to Vietnam-Japan Steel

Italian plantmaker Danieli has announced that it will supply a continuous casting and rolling mill to the Vietnam-based steel producer Vietnam-Japan Steel (Vija) for small-scale and low-cost production of rebar products with a lower investment and extremely competitive transformation costs. The new plant will produce 350,000 mt of rebar annually with lengths of 9-15 meters. 
 
Vietnam-Japan Steel (Vija), established in 1999, is based in Hai Phong, Vietnam. Its production units consist of two plants integrating melt shops and a rolling mill for bar and wire rod to meet the needs of the local market.
