Customs Union implements antidumping duties for Ukrainian pipes

Customs Union Commission announced that it will apply antidumping duties for certain steel pipes from Ukraine to the area of Customs Union (Russia, Belarus and Kazakhstan).

Antidumping duties on imports of Ukrainian casing have been set at 18.9%, and for tubing - 19.9%.

Antidumping duties on imports of line pipes, gas pipes and hot-formed pipes of general applications with diameter up to 820 mm have been set at 37.8%. Besides, trade volume restriction has been set at 19.4% for Interpipe Nizhnedneprovsky Tube Rolling Plant, Interpipe Novomoskovsk Pipe Works and Interpipe Nikotube.

The mentioned duties will be in effect until November 18, 2015. However, according to the agreement between Russia and Ukraine, concluded in December of last year, in 2011 Ukrainian producers can supply 300,000 mt of steel pipes to Russia without taxes.
