Taiwan's largest steelmaker China Steel Corporation (CSC) has announced that in July this year its carbon steel sales volume increased by 6.3 percent to 898,987 metric tons compared to June, accounting for 68 percent of domestic sales. During the first seven months of the current year, the company's carbon steel sales volume amounted to 6.27 million mt, up 16.7 percent year on year, accounting for 68 percent of domestic sales.
In July, CSC's operating revenues amounted to NTD 28.47 billion ($939.23 million), rising by six percent month on month. In the given month, the company’s operating income totaled NTD 1.33 billion ($44.07 million), compared to an income before tax of NTD 1.45 billion in the previous month.
