CSC’s No. 1 hot strip mill’s cumulative output exceeds 100 million mt

The cumulative production of the No. 1 hot strip mill of Taiwan-based steelmaker China Steel Corporation (CSC) exceeded 100 million mt in July.
Started up on February 10, 1982, the No. 1 hot strip mill was the first hot rolled coil production plant in Taiwan. After more than 28 years of operation, the total throughput reached 100 million mt on July 7, 2010. It currently produces around 4 million mt of steel annually.
Senior CSC officials as well as representatives from major equipment providers MH, TMEIC and TMGE attended the celebration ceremony.
