Taiwan's largest steelmaker China Steel Corporation (
CSC) has announced that in June this year its carbon steel sales volume amounted to 810,581 metric tons, increasing by a slight margin of 0.2 percent compared to May and accounting for 64 percent of domestic sales. In the first half of the current year, the company sold 4.8 million mt of carbon steel, accounting for 64 percent of domestic sales.
In June,
CSC's operating revenues amounted to NTD 30.4 billion ($1.01 billion), falling two percent month on month. In the first six months, the operating revenues of the company totaled NTD 184.57 billion ($6.16 billion). In June, the company registered earnings before tax of NTD 2.33 billion ($77.7 million), increasing by 5.9 percent compared to May.
