CSC sees decrease in operating income in September

Taiwan's largest steelmaker China Steel Corporation (CSC) has announced that in September this year its carbon steel sales volume decreased by three percent to 759,774 metric tons compared to July, accounting for 65 percent of domestic sales. During the first nine months of the current year, the company's carbon steel sales volume amounted to 7.15 million mt, accounting for 67 percent of domestic sales. 

In September, CSC's operating revenues amounted to NTD 21,12 billion ($647.49 million), down by seven percent month on month. In the given month, the company’s operating income totaled NTD 164 million ($5.028 million), decreasing by 73 percent compared to the previous month.
