CSC likely to increase its prices for Q4

According to recent news in the market, Taiwan's biggest steel producer China Steel Corporation (CSC) is planning to hike its local sales prices for the fourth quarter. A CSC official said that the company may increase its prices for the fourth quarter as demand in domestic market is strong. However the official declined to confirm the market news that CSC is planning to increase its prices for the fourth quarter by an average 4%. The official added that fourth quarter prices are scheduled to be announced on August 26, 2004.
