Taiwan's largest steelmaker China Steel Corporation (CSC) has announced that in December last year its carbon steel sales volume amounted to 775,353 metric tons, falling 0.26 percent compared to November and accounting for 65 percent of domestic sales. In 2014, the company sold 9.67 million mt of carbon steel, accounting for 64 percent of domestic sales.
In December, CSC's operating revenues amounted to NTD 30.14 billion ($961.9 million), rising 4.65 percent compared to the previous month. In 2014, the operating revenues of the company totaled NTD 366.5 billion ($11.7 billion). In December, the company registered earnings before tax of NTD 2.5 billion ($79.8 million), declining by 12.9 percent compared to November.
