Corus to post improved financial results for H1

According to statement released by Anglo-Dutch steel maker Corus, the company expects its operating profit to exceed £125 million for the first half of 2004 against loss of £57 million recorded in the corresponding period of previous fiscal. Corus officials stated that restructuring of the company and better market conditions as a result of strong demand especially from US, Europe and China will contribute to financial results to improve. The financial results of first half will be announced on September 16, 2004.
