Corus inks aerospace steel contract with Messier-Dowty
Corus Engineering Steels, a division of Anglo-Dutch Corus Group, announced that it signed two-year contract with Messier-Dowty to supply aerospace steel beginning as of 2006. Corus production aerospace steels will be supplied to the Messier-Dowty facilities in Gloucester (UK), Bidos (France) and Suzhou (China) together with the Messier-Dowty global supply chains. Messier-Dowty will use the Corus products to manufacture landing gear for Airbus and Boeing, as well as for regional jets and military aircraft. Corus has already made huge investments in special re-melted steel manufacturing to support aerospace activities. The company invested more than £20million ($35.7 million) in its plant at Stocksbridge in the UK to increase special re-melt capacity.Corus inks aerospace steel contract with Messier-Dowty
