Construction starts on 1.5 million mt capacity coking project in Shanxi

Construction has officially started on Shanxi Province-based Chinese company Maosheng Coalification Group Co.'s new coking project, as reported by Beijing-based state-owned China Metallurgical Corporation (MCC) on October 10.

The construction work, which will be carried out by MCC subsidiary China First Metallurgical Group, is expected to be completed within 547 days. After completion, the annual coke output capacity will be 1.5 million mt.

Meanwhile, on October 8, China 19th Metallurgical Co., another MCC subsidiary, started construction work for Bochuan steel trading center located in Chengdu in China's Sichuan Province. The trading center in question will cover an area of 32,000 square meters, while construction is expected to be completed within 180 days.
