Color coated coil market continues expanding slowly

The price increase of galvanized coil - the substrate for color coated coils – supported the increase in color coated coil market prices. Besides, the increase in market demand also kept up color coated coil market prices. However, the price increase range of color coated coils was less than that of galvanized coils. Medium and small scale color coated coil rolling mills have been generally arranging their production according to the orders of end users lately. Therefore, the supplies to the market have decreased comparatively. Consequently, color coated coils market inventory also dropped slightly week on week. Another support to the increase in color coated coil prices was Angang Steel's new price policy and price list announcement last week. The ex-factory price of Angang color coated coils increased RMB 150/mt ($19). On March 10, the average market price of 0.476 mm color coated coil was RMB 6,067/mt ($754), up RMB 134/mt ($17) compared with that in last weekend; that of 0.4 mm color coated coil was RMB 6,417/mt ($797), up RMB 84/mt ($10) compared with last weekend. While that of 0.286 mm Yieh Phui imported color coated coils was RMB 7,450/mt ($927), up RMB 100/mt ($12) compared with last weekend. Color coated coil market prices are expected to keep the stable trend next week.
