Colombian iron and steel output up 24.4 percent in January

Production in the Colombian manufacturing industry increased by 2.4 percent in January this year, compared to the same month of 2011, as announced by the Colombian National Administrative Department of Statistics (DANE).

In January of the current year, Colombia's iron and steel production increased by 24.4 percent on year-on-year basis, while the country's iron and steel exports saw a decrease of 24.8 percent compared to January 2011.
