Colombian crude steel output declines in June

Colombian crude steel output in June declined 0.4 percent, year-on-year, according to data released on Thursday by the Colombian Committee of Steel Producers, CPA. Crude steel production in June fell to 110,121 mt, from 110,591 mt in June 2016.

Despite the year-on-year decline, crude steel production rose 5 percent, month-on-month, from 104,810 mt in April.

As for H1, Colombian crude steel output totaled 638,825 mt, 0.3 percent down, year-on-year, from 640,284 in H1 2016.

CPA said long finished production in June dropped 2 percent, year-on-year, but rose 2.8 percent, month-on-month, to 113,298. H1 long finished production reached 675,378 mt, 0.6 percent up, year-on-year.
