Coke oven 1B successfully ignited at Baosteel’s Zhanjiang steel base

As announced by Beijing-based state-owned China Metallurgical Group Corporation (MCC), the coke oven 1B at Chinese steel producer Baosteel's Zhanjiang steel production base was successfully ignited on April 2, marking an important step forward in Baosteel's Zhanjiang steel base project. Construction work on the project was carried out by MCC subsidiary China MCC5 Group Corp.

The coke oven 1B has a designed annual production capacity of 850,000 mt of coke.
