Coal production in Shanxi down 4.3 percent in January-July

In July this year, coal production in China’s Shanxi Province amounted to 80.14 million mt, indicating a year-on-year decrease of 1.6 percent, as announced by Shanxi provincial authorities.

In the January-July period this year, Shanxi produced 531.26 million mt of coal, down 4.3 percent year on year. Meanwhile, in the given period coal shipments by Taiyuan Railway Administration in Shanxi Province totaled 350 million mt, down 1.31 million mt year on year. In particular, the railway line from Datong, Shanxi Province to Qinhuangdao, Hebei Province transported 240 million mt of coal, decreasing by 23.56 million mt year on year.
