Coal output in China’s Xinjiang region up 30.4 percent in Jan-Apr

During the first four months of the current year, the total coal output of China's Xinjiang autonomous region amounted to 36.83 million mt, up 8.59 million mt or 30.4 percent compared to the corresponding period of 2011, as reported by China Business News Agency.

Meanwhile, in the given period coal sales in the Xinjiang region totaled 39.82 million mt, rising by 9.18 million or 30 percent year on year. In particular, coal deliveries from state-owned coal mines totaled 14.54 million mt, up 17.4 percent year on year and accounting for 36.5 percent of total coal deliveries in the region.
