Coal inventory rises further in China’s Bohai Economic Rim

On June 17, total coal inventory at four major ports in China's Bohai Economic Rim region amounted to 21.219 million mt, up 5.39 percent or 1.069 million mt week on week, according to the figures from the China Coal Transportation and Sale Society.
 
Coal inventory on the given date totaled 9.3 million mt at Qinhuangdao port, 3.08 million mt at SDIC Caofeidian port, 5.08 million mt at Jingtang port and 3.759 million mt at Tianjin port. Compared with last week, apart from Tianjin, the other three ports all witnessed an increase in coal inventory, with a rise of 320,000 mt at Qinhuangdao, 630,000 mt at Jingtang and 170,000 mt at SDIC Caofeidian, up 3.56 percent, 14.15 percent and 5.84 percent respectively.
