Coal inventory reaches record levels in China’s Bohai Economic Rim

On June 10, coal inventory at the four main ports in China's Bohai Economic Rim region totaled 20.15 million mt, up 10.11 percent from the 18.3 million mt recorded one week earlier, marking a new historic high.

In the context of slower downstream activities, coal inventories in the Bohai Economic Rim region have risen significantly in the recent period. On June 10, coal inventory at Qinhuangdao port came to 8.98 million mt, while inventories at Guotou Caofeidian port, Jingtang port and Tianjin port respectively amounted to 2.91 million mt, 4.45 million mt and 3.81 million mt.
