Cliffs Natural Resources announces management reorganization

Cleveland, Ohio-based mining and natural resource company Cliffs Natural Resources announced Wednesday a comprehensive global reorganization of management and sales staff.

Effective immediately, Cliffs has reorganized its Executive Leadership Team (ELT) to include the following individuals, with the respective responsibilities:

Former president of the North American Business Unit, Donald J. Gallagher has been named Executive Vice President, President-Global Commercial. Gallagher now has the commercial responsibility for all of Cliffs' global businesses including a newly created global strategic marketing function, as well as create a global transportation and logistics function at Cliffs.

Duncan P. Price has been named Executive Vice President, President-Global Operations-Price, formerly Cliffs' senior vice president, managing director, Asia Pacific Iron ore, will now be responsible for all minerals and other products that Cliffs produces. Price will also provide leadership for safety, capital projects, cost management and continuous improvement.

Clifford Smith has been named Senior Vice President, Global Business Development. Smith now has global responsibility for business development, including the identification and evaluation of potential strategic transactions and valuation.
