The activity of the Brazilian civil construction segment remained weak in July, reaching 38.2 points in a scale from zero to 100, in which values above 50 show growth.
According to information released this week by the nation’s confederation of industries, CNI, the activity level of the segment has reached 38.2 points in July, a slightly improvement from 37.5 points in June, but well bellow the 44.9 points seen in July 2014.
The indicator that measures the number of job positions in the industry showed 36 points in July, stable from 35.9 points in June, but down from 44.2 points in July 2014.
CNI said Brazilian companies continue pessimist about the performance of the segment in the next six months.
The utilization of the industry’s capacity in July reached 60 points, stable since January this year. In July last year the indicator had reached 69 points.
