Civil construction activity in Brazil improves in March

Civil construction activity in Brazil rose to 44.5 points in March, from 37.5 points in March 2016, and 40.3 points in February this year, on a scale from zero to 100, in which values above 50 show growth, according to the country’s confederation of industries (CNI).
 
The utilization of the industry’s capacity in March remained stable at 56 percent, slightly down from 57 percent in the same month of the year prior, but up from 53 percent in February this year.
 
The indicator that measures the number of job positions in the industry rose to 41.7 points in March, up from 38.9 points in February this year, and up from 36.6 points in March 2016.
