CISA to discuss iron ore imports

The China Iron and Steel Association (CISA) will hold an iron ore import workshop in Anshan in northeastern China on September 28-29. The current operational situation of China's steel industry; domestic and international iron ore markets; and iron ore import management and the scheduling of iron ore imports in the next year will be discussed during the workshop. Delegates from 74 Chinese steelmakers will take part in the workshop. The meeting is expected to be an opportunity for the steelmakers to begin determining 2006 iron ore import prices.
