CISA mills' average daily crude steel output up sharply in early Sept

On September 17, the China Iron and Steel Association (CISA) announced that in early September this year (September 1-10) this year the average aggregate daily crude steel output of large and medium-sized steel enterprises in China - all CISA members - totaled 1.795 million mt, up 7.1 percent compared to late August (August 21-31). 

According to the CISA's previous figures, in late August this year the average aggregate daily crude steel output of large and medium-sized steel enterprises in China had amounted to 1.6768 million mt, down 8.35 percent from mid-August (August 11-20).

Meanwhile, as of September 10, 2014, overall inventory of the main finished steel products in the major steel markets in China totaled 15.136 million mt, up 6.3 percent as compared to the figure recorded on August 31.
