CISA mills' average daily crude steel output down 5.09% in mid-January

On January 29, the China Iron and Steel Association (CISA) announced that in mid-January (January 11-20) this year the average aggregate daily crude steel output of large and medium-sized steel enterprises in China - all CISA members - totaled 1.6941 million mt, down 5.09 percent compared to early January (January 1-10).  

According to the CISA's previous figures, in early January this year the average aggregate daily crude steel output of large and medium-sized steel enterprises in China had amounted to 1.7849 million mt, up 3.63 percent from late December (December 21-31).

Meanwhile, as of January 20, overall inventory of the main finished steel products in the major steel markets in China totaled 14.7626 million mt, up 8.25 percent as compared to the figure recorded on January 10.
