On January 9, the China Iron and Steel Association (CISA) announced that in late December (December 21-31) this year the average aggregate daily crude steel output of large and medium-sized steel enterprises in China - all CISA members - totaled 1.722 million mt, down 3.6 percent compared to mid-December (December 11-20).
According to the CISA's previous figures, in mid-December this year the average aggregate daily crude steel output of large and medium-sized steel enterprises in China had amounted to 1.7819 million mt, up 1.85 percent from early December (December 1-10).
Meanwhile, as of December 31, overall inventory of the main finished steel products in the major steel markets in China totaled 13.242 million mt, down 11.0 percent as compared to the figure recorded on December 20.
