CISA: Iron ore prices in China increase in November

Iron ore prices in China moved on a rising trend during the month of November, as stated in a new report issued by the China Iron and Steel Association (CISA).

At the end of November this year, the China Iron Ore Price Index (CIOPI) stood at 262.67 points, up 31.21 points or 13.48 percent month on month. In particular, the domestic production iron ore price index stood at 229.21 points, up 17.47 points or 8.25 percent month on month, while the import iron ore price index stood at 268.97 points, increasing by 33.80 points or 14.37 percent month on month.

For the whole of November, the average China Iron Ore Price Index (CIOPI) was at 255.85 points, up 39.58 points or 18.30 percent month on month. In particular, the average domestic production iron ore price index was at 220.18 points, up 10.91 points or 5.21 percent, while the average import iron ore price index stood at 262.57 points, rising by 44.98 points or 20.67 percent, both month on month.
