CISA: Chinese daily crude steel output declines in late July

According to the China Iron and Steel Association (CISA), in late July (July 21-31) Chinese large and medium-sized steel enterprises which are members of the CISA achieved a crude steel output of 17.68 million mt, a pig iron output of 17.3608 million mt and a finished steel output of 17.7167 million mt. The average daily crude steel, pig iron and finished steel outputs of these key enterprises in late July were respectively 1.6073 million mt, 1.5783 million mt and 1.6106 million mt, down 2.66 percent, 2.0 percent and rising by 2.03 percent, month on month.
 
Meanwhile, Chinese domestic outputs of crude steel, pig iron and finished steel in late July amounted to 21.4434 million mt, 19.9311 million mt and 31.2006 million mt, with respective average daily outputs of 1.9494 million mt, 1.8119 million mt and 2.8364 million mt, down 2.2 percent, 1.74 percent and up 1.14 percent compared to mid-July (July 11-20). In July, China is expected to record a crude steel output of 60.9791 million mt, with an average daily output of 1.9671 million mt, down 1.99 percent compared to the average daily output of 2.0071 million mt in June.
